Rector announces new Open Access policy at EUR

The rector of the Erasmus University Rotterdam, Prof.Dr. Henk Schmidt, announced that Open Access publishing (the so-called "Green Road") will be mandatory for EUR staff as of January 2011.

Staphylococcus aureus

NOS publishes about the Staphylococcus aureus research-group of Erasmus MC. They have published research results in The New England Journal of Medicine that show that many serious infections occurring after operations in hospitals can be prevented.

The NYT also ran the story.
