Samenvatting

De tweede herziening van de NHG-Standaard Aspecifieke lagerugpijn bevat geen wezenlijke veranderingen ten opzichte van de versie uit 2005.1 Dat is logisch, omdat de huidige wetenschappelijke stand van zaken nauwelijks anders is dan die van twaalf jaar geleden. Opvallend is wel dat het lichamelijk onderzoek vrijwel uit de standaard van 2017 is verdwenen en dat nog luider dan voorheen de roep klinkt om geen röntgenonderzoek of MRI te laten doen.
