The possibilities of beef of young bulls for the Dutch market. By applying suitable market research techniques, the opinion of different trade groups and consumers about beef of young bulls (age about 16 months, carcass weight circa 280 kg) has been investigated. According to wholesalers and retailers, the beef quality of these bulls is expected to give rise to problems in marketing in spite of their favourable carcass characteristics. The results of two consumer tests are not in accordance, however.
