Abstract
The aim of this thesis, which is in two parts, is to explore transferability of health economic studies in CEE and former Soviet countries, using Ukraine as the primary example. To reach this aim, the following objectives were addressed:

To assess the use of health economic studies and need for transferability in CEE and former Soviet countries

To assess the practical applicability of transferability principles, transferability of health economic studies in general, and input parameters more specifically.
