Het oude gaat dood en het nieuwe is nog niet geboren : de Egyptische revolutie van 2011: arbeid, kapitaal, tijd
This dissertation is an attempt to tell the story of the 2011 Egyptian revolution through re-visiting and re-telling modern Egyptian history.
Starting from the events of the revolution itself, the aim has been to go back into Egyptian history in order to understand why the revolution happened when it did: why did it happen in 2011, and not 2020 or 1990? What led to such a momentous political crisis, and who were the social forces involved?
