Innovation in paper making: the Netherlands 1750-1850

The article describes how from the end of the eigteenth century the Netherlands lost its prominent position on the international paper market, then regained it in the nineteenth century. It discusses the role in this process of technological regime change towards industrial paper making and how this case study relates to theories about technological change in the Netherlands during this period.
