Exploring the role of atopy in non-atopic diseases

The main objective of this thesis was to explore and assess the associations of nonatopic comorbidities with atopic disorders and how atopy influences the course and/or severity of these conditions.
The comorbidities are divided into inflammatory, cancerous and cardiovascular disorders. The chapters of this thesis correspond to this division.
