Falls are a leading cause of health care consumption, morbidity, and mortality among older adults. Falls mortality in persons 80 years and older in the Netherlands decreased from 1969 through 1999, and then slightly increased from 2000 through 2008. We assessed trends in falls mortality in persons 80 years and older from 2000 through 2016.
