Trichoscopy is the investigation of scalp and hair with a dermascope for hair diseases. If one learns how to perform trichoscopy, the diagnostic accuracy will increase, while other investigations will decrease. Trichoscopy can also be helpful to determine disease activity and monitor the effect of therapy.
