The focus of this thesis is on the senescence (oncogene-induced senescence)-associated regulatory elements in non-coding regions. Senescence serves as a suppressive barrier to tumorigenesis.
A full understanding of the gene regulation in the process of cellular senescence will empower us to know more about tumorigenesis.

In summary, the general goal of my research is to understand how the functional regulatory elements control gene expression.
