This study aims to provide a clear insight into the harmonization process of aggregated historical census data and give concrete recommendations on how to deal with the different types of data found in the census (both methodological as well as practical solutions).
Following this thought, the main research question of this study is:
“ What is the need for historical census data harmonization from a theoretical and practical perspective and how can Linked Data contribute as a new technology.“
