EIT measurements and static prediction of lung volume

This paper discusses the possibility to compute static estimates of electrical conductivity of the lungs from EIT measurements by using the Boundary Element Method as an accurate three-dimensional solution technique to the forward problem. A relation is set up between these estimates and lung volume, without needing EIT images.
