This thesis aims to demonstrate the relevance of the public health approach for addressing the burden of home injuries.
This thesis aims to enhance our understanding of the burden of injuries, risk and protective factors associated with home injuries.
This thesis additionally reports on the evaluation of the Johns Hopkins Home Safety Project; community intervention trial aimed at reducing safety risks in the homes.
Finally, this these provides strategies to improve the implementation of home safety measures.
