Keloids are benign dermal fibro-proliferative skin lesions resulting from trauma. They sometimes occur spontaneously. The pathogenesis of keloid scarring is not well understood, although several etiological and possible predisposing factors have been proposed. Keloids have preferred locations, plantar keloids are very rare. A rare case of plantar keloid is presented as well as the clinical and histological characteristics and possible treatment options.
