This thesis focuses mainly on blood biomarkers, that have been studied in relation to coronary atherosclerotic characteristics on intravascular imaging and cardiovascular events.
Furthermore, specific genetic polymorphisms have been examined in relation to cardiovascular events, as well as treatment benefit by ACE-inhibitors.
