Vulvar Paget's disease: Treatment with imiquimod

Vulvar Paget’s disease is a rare asymptomatic skin tumor occurring mostly in elderly women. The treatment of choice is extensive surgical excision. Because of high recurrence rates and impressive morbidity other (topical) treatment modalities have been explored. The multicenter Paget Trial was initiated, to assess the efficacy, safety and immunological effects of topical 5% imiquimod cream in the treatment for vulvar Paget’s disease. The first outcomes of this trial will be presented at “de Dermatologendagen 2018”.
