The aim of this thesis was the improvement of patient safety and comfort during endotracheal intubation in neonates by optimizing the use of premedication. For this purpose, the need for using premedication and the optimal strategy in less invasive surfactant administration techniques, the evaluation of the effect of premedication and the use of propofol as premedication have been investigated
