Raman spectroscopy is one of the optical techniques, which is getting closer and closer to being utilized in dermatological diagnostics. In this paper recent developments in the areas of atopic dermatitis and Mohs surgery are briefly discussed, as well as a new development; quantitative determination of the penetration of compounds through the skin.
