In this thesis, pregnancy outcomes in women with all sorts of heart disease are investigated. The maternal mortality rate in this group is 0.6%, which is more than 100 times higher than that of the healthy pregnant population. In this thesis, several low- and high risk heart conditions are highlighted, describing the pregnancy outcomes and identifying specific risk factors which need to be accounted for.
