Lipide samenstelling van carotide atherosclerotische plaques
In this thesis we investigate the molecular composition of atherosclerosis, one of the main causes of stroke, to gain insight into the chances of patients of experiencing a stroke and to treat these patients in a more targeted fashion. We found a number of molecules associated with plaque components that have been linked to elevated stroke risk, also we identified their photoacoustic spectra.
