The 9th annual meeting of the German Bielschowsky Gesellschaft für Schielforschung was organized in conjunction with the Berufsverband der Orthoptistinnen Deutschlands (BOD) and the local organizers of the Bielschowsky Gesellschaft, i.e. Mrs.B. Stoll, Prof.Dr. H. Steffen and Prof. Dr. G. Kolling. Six hundred visitors attended the meeting (about 450 orthoptists and 150 medical doctors), at which 40 oral presentations and 11 posters were presented.Although the conference language was German, internationally recognized contributors and visitors from all over Europe and the United States came to the historically important town of Heidelberg.
