Abstract

This thesis describes the results of studies focusing on the pathophysiology, clinical aspects, and management of encapsulating peritoneal sclerosis (EPS). We have reported on the presence of inflammation in EPS, described several clinical aspects, and focused on the entity of posttransplantation EPS. Furthermore, recommendations for both diagnosis and management of patients with EPS have been provided.
