Perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (PHC) is located at the confluence of the left and right hepatic ducts. It is distinguished from distal cholangiocarcinoma by arising proximal to the cystic duct confluence.1 Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma typically involves large liver tumors arising proximal to the second-order bile ducts.
