Growth hormone treatment in children with PWS

This chapter gives an overview of the effects of growth hormone (GH) treatment on growth, body composition and other important features of children with PWS. For more than 10 years GH treatment has been widely used and studied in these children. GH treatment normalizes height SDS, improves body composition and has positive effects on mental and motor development and cognition. GH is a safe and effective treatment for children with PWS.
