We present a patient with paralysis of the left recurrent laryngeal nerve through an aortic arch aneurysm. A paralysis of the left recurrent laryngeal nerve through cardio-thoracal vascular disease causing a hoarse voice is called the Ortner's syndrome. We describe the case, review the literature and discuss outcome after treatment of left recurrent laryngeal nerve paralysis through an aortic arch aneurysm.
