A bitemark is defined as a physical alteration in a medium caused by the contact of teeth or as a representative pattern left in an object or tissue by the dental structures of an animal or human (ABFO 2011). According to (Revis et al. 2009), in humans there are two types of injuries caused by the contact of teeth: occlusive bites and clenched-fist injuries.
