The work of Limdi et al1 has highlighted diet as important environmental factor in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which is still underrepresented in IBD research.2 Although we all know that everything what we consume comes into direct contact with our intestine, we still have no clue to what extent food determines the health of the (inflammatory) bowel.
