A 68-year-old wheelchair-dependent female with diabetes and end-stage kidney failure presented with symptomatic severe functional mitral regurgitation (MR) and a left ventricular ejection fraction of 37%.
The multidisciplinary heart team reached consensus for MitraClip implantation because of high operative risk and frailty.
