This is the first randomised study comparing long-Term outcomes of three different techniques for the treatment of patients with great saphenous vein (GSV) reflux: conventional surgery (CS), endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy (ESCT). CS and EVLA were more effective than UGFS in arresting GSV reflux 5 years after intervention.
